The 3000 Mk II BT7 four-seater version was manufactured in 5096 units.
The car on offer is a rare Mk II 2 + 2 with triple carburetors. It was restored more than ten years ago from the chassis upwards and it shows no signs of corrosion. The "Healey blue" shade is older and requires some refreshing. The interior, including doors and dashboard, has been entirely redone in red leather of good quality, as well as the wool carpets. The hood frame and side windows are missing but it is fitted with a tonneau cover. The engine is fitted with an aluminum racing cylinder head, an alternator, a modern starter, a tubular exhaust manifold, a stainless steel exhaust and a Mallory ignition system. The latter has a tendency to crack, but the overdrive, whose control has been moved to the shift knob, works very well on both gears. The car is equipped with larger 72 chrome spokes wheels, new 185 Michelin XWX tyres and an aluminum tank. In 2015, it has benefited from an important service, as proved by an invoice in the file. In short, a prepared "Big Healey", with matching numbers, and whose max power must be around 180bhp, ready to battle it out in regularity rallies, and with the basic requirements for a FIA certification.
